JKP REGISTRATION Privacy Policy

Effective date: 14 October 2026 · Extension release 3.0.0

JKP REGISTRATION is a browser extension for authorized JKP operators. It receives reviewed registration data from supported JKP applications, assists with supported government Form III forms, and returns confirmed application IDs to the originating app.

The extension has no separate sign-in and does not collect account passwords or session tokens. It does not track device GPS location, IP addresses or general browsing history, and it uses no advertising or analytics service. It handles the visitor records supplied for form filling and the relevant portal values needed to verify that work.

Data processed

The extension processes the records an operator sends from the JKP app: names, date of birth, gender, nationality, contact information, passport or citizenship details, visa or OCI details, photos, visit dates, arrival and previous-stay cities/countries, accommodation or ashram details, and internal person/visit identifiers. Checkout preparation may also include exit dates and destination details.

For those queued records, it reads relevant supported portal form fields, previews and submission confirmations or rows to verify identity and capture application IDs. It maintains workflow progress and a local Activity history of registration actions and errors, including filling steps, observed final Next/Proceed actions and application-ID synchronization. It does not record general browsing history, mouse movements or the contents of typed keystrokes.

How data is used and shared

Data is used to prepare and fill the selected registration forms, show queue progress, recover interrupted work and synchronize confirmed application IDs. Form data and photos are supplied to the supported government portal through its normal page controls. Final submission remains an operator action. Application IDs and corresponding visit/person identifiers are returned to the same JKP app origin that supplied the queued record.

The extension does not sell personal data, use it for advertising, or transfer it for unrelated purposes. It has no advertising or analytics service. Its use of data is limited to the registration-assistance purpose described here.

Storage and retention

The registration queue, progress, pending application-ID receipts and recent workflow activity are stored in extension storage on the operator's browser. Queue records remain until removed or the extension is uninstalled. Completed entries are not automatically deleted. Pending or uncertain submission receipts may need to be resolved before the extension permits queue removal, to avoid losing a confirmed application ID.

Activity is limited to the latest 300 events. Session storage coordinates active portal-tab ownership. Uninstalling the extension removes its local extension storage; it does not erase records already stored in the JKP app or submitted to the government portal. Those systems have separate retention and access arrangements.

Access and safeguards

The extension runs on named supported JKP application hosts, approved local app deployments, and the Form III portal. It validates message senders and app origins, limits data exchange to the originating app, and restricts filling to the supported portal path. It does not receive app session tokens, account passwords or government login credentials.

Operators should use authorized accounts, protect their browser profiles and send only records they are authorized to process. The extension is a JKP tool, not a government-issued extension.

Your choices and contact

You can stop filling, remove eligible queue records, restrict the extension's site access through browser settings, or uninstall it. For support, privacy questions or requests about records held by JKP, contact devit@jkp.org.in.

Changes

This policy will be updated when the extension's data handling changes. Future functionality that requires additional access or processes other data will be reflected in the extension permissions, store disclosures and policy.
